What happens once I’ve uploaded my images?

When you upload images to Picfair, we ask you to agree to the Contributor Agreement terms of our Editorial & Personal LicenceCommercial Licence and Advertising Licence.

We then put your images through our moderation processes to make sure they adhere to the terms of the Contributor Agreement and also work out which licence(s) should be assigned to which image(s). Until this process is complete, your images will not be available to license and will not appear in search results.

You will, however, be able to see them on your Store and profile, and you'll also be able to see the number of images pending moderation on your Picfair Dashboard.

The number of images pending moderation as seen from your Picfair Dashboard:

On your Store under 'Purchase Options' on the image page, you'll see 'Licence Assignment and Moderation in Progress':

On the image page on the Central Marketplace, you'll also see 'Licence Assignment and Moderation in Progress':

The moderation processes takes no longer than one business day (Monday - Friday). If you are a Picfair Plus user, your photos are prioritised in the queue so they are processed faster. This is exclusive of the weekends, so if you upload your images on a Friday, your images will be moderated after the weekend.

Once all of your images have been moderated and had their relevant licences assigned, we’ll send you an email to let you know, and your images will be available to license as digital downloads and prints (if you are opted-in to prints) from both your Store and on the Central Marketplace.
