We've updated the Your Store area of your dashboard. The biggest change is to your Homepage settings, which now let you build your homepage from content blocks instead of choosing a single view.
If your store was set up before this update, here's what you need to know.
Your homepage looks the same to visitors
We've carried your existing setup over automatically. Whichever view your homepage was showing before (Images, Albums or Featured Album Images) is now active as a block, along with your Store Description if you had a bio switched on.
Nothing changes for visitors until you edit your layout yourself.
Homepage settings are now a block builder
In your Homepage settings, you can now add, remove and reorder blocks to decide what appears on your homepage and in what order.
Alongside the blocks you already had, you can now add:
- About, which shows your profile picture and bio from your About page
- Social Links, which shows the social links you've added
- Custom Text, which allows you to add up to 5 blocks of text
For a full walkthrough, including new customisation options, see Building your Store Homepage.
Some settings have moved
The following options can now be found on the Design & Layout page:
- Welcome Splash Page
- In-Store Search
- Store Pages, which is where you enable the pages people can visit on your store
These features work exactly as before; only their location has changed.
Have questions or feedback?
We're really excited to release this brand new way to build your Store homepage, and we'd love to hear how you're getting on with it.
As this is a new feature, you may come across something that doesn't work quite as expected. If you do, or if you have any questions, please contact our Support team and let us know. We'll look into it as quickly as we can, and your feedback helps us make improvements.
