No, at present, Picfair does not accept images generated by AI (artificial intelligence).
Why doesn't Picfair accept AI-generated images?
AI-generated imagery is an evolving area, and copyright over content in AI imagery is complex in nature - with elements in AI images often derived from multiple copyrighted sources - Picfair’s licenses do not cover this.
All images uploaded to Picfair Stores must be an original photograph taken by the copyright holder (the photographer).
You can review our Contributor Agreements and Images Licences which cover photographers, buyers and Picfair's obligations regarding image licences. These have been established to protect all parties involved from any issues regarding copyright.
What happens if I upload AI-generated images?
Any AI-generated images will not be accepted when passing through Picfair’s moderation process.
Will this policy change in the future?
The AI-image space is a rapidly evolving industry and we are regularly reviewing developments and asking for photographer feedback as to how we best respond to these developments.
There are no current plans to change our image acceptance criteria, but all platform users will be updated if this changes int he future.
